Ironton Wizardfest 2021 Schedule
There’s so much going on, we’ve broken them down by area within the festival grounds.
Day 1: Saturday, November 13th
Festival Hours: 10:00am- 7:00pm
@ Ro-Na Great Hall:
11:00am: Defend Yourself: Wand Dueling 102
12:00pm: Care of Creepy Creatures with DES Coveries Education & Entertainment
1:00pm: COSPLAY CONTEST – Three Age Divisions 0-10; 11-17; 18+
2:00pm: Care of Creepy Creatures with DES Coveries Education & Entertainment
3:00pm: “Order of the Imporv” show staring James Payton who played Frank Longbottom in the Harry Potter(tm) film series and Walles Hamonde who played a MASCUSA Auror in the Fantastic Beasts(tm) film series.
4:00pm: Defend Yourself: Wand Dueling 102
5:00pm: Care of Creepy Creatures with DES Coveries Education & Entertainment
9:00 pm – Midnight: Wizard’s Ball Adults 18+ only (buy tickets here)
– The Wizard’s Ball is a winter themed magical evening in the Ro-Na’s Great Hall Auditorium. Tickets to the Ball include a full buffet (including vegetarian options), one free Butterbrew or cocktail form the bar, performances by the Cosmodolls, Fandom Themed Club style DJ and entrance into the Wizard’s Ball Cosplay Contest.
Cosplay Contests – Judged by Cos-Ohana: The next level in cosplay

10am – 7pm – LEGO Experience/Exhibit by the Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana LEGO Users Group
10am – 7pm – FREE Escape Room (Accessible for those with mobility concerns)
10am – 5pm – Brigg’s Library kids Arts and Crafts tables (moved to the largest walled tent on Vernon Street)

10am – 7pm – Selfies AND Autographs with Jim Tavaré who played Tom the Innkeeper in Harry PotterTM films, James Payton who played Frank Longbottom in the Harry Potter films, and Walles Hamonde who played a MACUSA Auror in Fantastic Beasts. Tickets available here
@ Vernon Street Big Tent:
10am – 5pm – Brigg’s Library kids Arts and Crafts tables for up and coming witches and wizards in the back of the largest Wizardfest tent on Vernon Street.
@ Pub Trivia:
Smarter than the rest?! The Ironton Prophet’s brightest magical field reporter hand crafted the ultimate HP trivia and you could win great prizes by outsmarting them all! Each game features all new questions.

Learn about local wizarding heritage with ongoing demonstrations in Blacksmithing, Open Fire Kettles, Apple Cider, and Metal Crafting Jewelry.
@ Greenhouse
10am – 7pm – Small planter making craft with the clever folks from Ironton In Bloom – A must see Greenhouse vendor is just next door in the greenhouse with rare and exotic plants and terrariums.
@The Two Beater’s Wizard’s Pub
Opens with the gate, closes with the Ball. (Only Wizard’s Ball ticket holders permitted between 8pm-Midnight)
Quench your thirst as you cheer on your favorite team at the Tri-State’s oldest Wizard’s Sports Pub.
Please drink responsibly. (A good rule of thumb… when this looks correct – “Kwid-ditch” – you’re only two adult Butterbrews away from being stuck using the fireplace to get home.)
Passport Scavenger Hunt
Ongoing during both days of the festival. Complete the scavenger hunt be entered to win a grand prize drawn at the end of the festival. *You do not have to be present to win.
